In honor of Jack’s graduation from Brother Rice High School last weekend, I figured I would share some of my favorites from his senior session! I could pretend that I planned it like this, but truthfully, I am just that bad about blogging my sessions. Ooops.
This handsome guy is not only family, but just an all around great young man who did a wonderful job putting up with getting his senior portraits taken…because we all know how much guys like that, right?
Jack, I can’t believe you are already a high school graduate?! I have no idea where time goes, but it has been great to watch you grow up from an adorable young kid to an accomplished young man. You surely have a bright future ahead of you and I can’t wait to see you reach all of your dreams!
What could be better than a super sweet family, a beautiful home with tons of natural light, and a proud big sister who loves to snuggle up to her baby brother?! Let me tell you….not much!
This session was also extra special because little Connor was a total sleepy angel and this family was completely laid back and easy to photograph.
Houde Family – I loved meeting you guys and had a wonderful time photographing you as a family of four! I hope you treasure these images always.
Every once in awhile you may be lucky enough to meet someone new who you just ‘click’ with. The kind of person that you hit it off with immediately and feel like you have known for years. That’s how it was when I met Elizabeth last year. She is truly one of the most thoughtful, compassionate and hilarious people I have ever met. We work together at The Recovery Project where I am a physical therapist. After just a few months of working with us, she shared with me that she and her husband where expecting their first child.
Of course every time a friend becomes pregnant, it is miraculous and exciting news. But this was even more special for Elizabeth & Danny. Knowing even a small portion of the difficult and trying road they traveled to make it to this day, I just knew they were going to be even more thankful parents. I knew that this blessing from God was something they would never take for granted and that this child was already loved beyond measure. Elizabeth & Danny had the type of excitement, fear and gratitude that can only come with previous pain and hardship….from realizing what a huge gift and blessing this little life already was.
So you can only imagine the joy I felt when Elizabeth asked me to photograph their new family of three together for the first time! I was so honored to meet precious and perfect little Harrison at their home when he was just one week old. In true Elizabeth fashion, she had champagne and snacks for me as I arrived and was more concerned about making sure I would be comfortable (and stay for dinner!) than she was about resting and recovering from a very tough labor. What a lucky little guy Harrison is to have her as his mommy! And of course, Danny is already the most doting daddy in the world.
Elizabeth & Danny – I truly couldn’t be happier for on the birth of your beautiful son. I can’t believe he is already a few months old and growing like a weed! It is so fun to see you both light up with joy when you see Harrison or talk about him when you are at work. I am so thankful you trusted me to document such a special time in your lives and I am thrilled you love the images as much as I do. You guys are the best and deserve nothing short of all the happiness in the world! I can’t wait to snuggle this little guy again soon!
It is a truly magical thing to watch two first time parents completely love on their new bundle of joy during a newborn session. And after photographing this sweet couple for their maternity session, I knew that our next shoot together was going to be extra special once baby Flynn arrived.
All of the expecting parents I meet are so excited and eager to meet their little one, but there was an extra special feeling I got from Ben & Dena. They were not only the usual mixture of excited, nervous and antsy for their little boy to arrive, but they were totally beaming with gratitude and so much love – not just for their son, but for each other. I knew from the first time meeting them that Flynn was one luckly little guy to join their family.
I had the privilege of spending some time with them just days after Flynn was born, and man, what a cutie he is! He slept like a champ and soaked up all of the love and snuggles from his adoring parents.
Ben & Dena – thank you so much for allowing me to share these special moments with you…from your maternity session to Flynn’s newborn pictures, I had such a great time with you guys. I am so happy for you and can’t wait to see where this adventure as a family of 3 takes you!
